What makes broly so strong

And commenting 4 times that the thread should be closed not only contributed absolutely nothing to the conversation, it's rather rude. If anything, Goku should take Broly to Universe 6 for group training. Goku can train all of them how to actually fight. Kale can teach Broly how to control his transformation.

Cabba could get the chance to become the next SSBlue. Broly could learn how to fight on a team. It could be a pretty nice training mini-arc. I am not being rude. He got absolutely battered and had no choice but to go for Super Saiyan Blue. This transformation allowed Goku to match Broly's ever-increasing strength.

This was another sadistic moment where Frieza proved that he is the cruelest being in the Dragon Ball Universe. As a result, Broly lost it and transformed into a Super Saiyan. When Vegeta and Broly were fighting , the latter was increasing his strength with every punch and he entered into what is called the Wrath State.

This state allowed Broly to tap into the Great Ape's power, only much calmer, and he was increasing in height every second. He was getting bulkier and he was finding it hard to contain the raw strength he was able to produce.

There was also a green aura around him while he was using the Wrath State. When Broly was born, his power was limitless and as he entered into adulthood, his strength became near uncontrollable. The reason why he is so strong is because of his rare genes found in Saiyans that allow him to transform into what is called the Legendary Super Saiyan. In this form, he loses his golden hair in favor a green-colored look and his body basically doubles in size as his strength increases every second that he battles his opponent.

His uncontainable strength can be calmed and Goku offered to help him with the same when the dust settled. By Nishid Motwani Published Oct 07, Talk about a power gap. After hearing Goku cry as a baby, Broly held this grudge for the rest of his life, even letting it be a trigger for his power. Even when Frieza pushes him to literal tears, he devises a plan to get a Zenkai off of Krillin so he can contribute to the fight in a meaningful way.

He still loses, mind you, but the point is that Vegeta would rather put himself in danger than hold back. At least as far as non-Legendary Super Saiyans are concerned. Even the Prince of all Saiyans has his limits. Upon seeing Broly fully transform and begin to destroy Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, and Future Trunks, Vegeta freezes in his tracks and refuses to fight Broly. Where Goku is pure of heart and serene, however, Broly is entirely malicious. The two characters love combat more than anything, but battle to Goku is more about self-improvement than anything else.

Battle for Broly is a way to satiate his ever-growing fighting lust. To top it all off, Goku has to train actively to enjoy combat whereas Broly simply grows stronger through fighting. This is important as it implies a very dark fact: Base Broly is strong enough to lay the smackdown on Super Saiyan Blue Goku.

Goku, in one of his strongest forms, absolutely struggles to defeat Broly. How he plans on defeating a transformed Broly is going to be the question of a lifetime as fans go in to watch the film. Broly can look at Tullece with no problems, but one whiff of Goku- whether it be from the man himself or from his sons- is enough to send him into a spiral.

Broly represents everything an Elite like Vegeta can fear. Broly is everything Vegeta wants to be: an all-powerful, evil Saiyan. Broly is perfectly in tune with his race whereas Vegeta has grown soft, allowing himself to adapt to Earth customs. Was Akira Toriyama so taken to the character that he felt compelled and inspired to incorporate Broly into his own narrative? Toei hopes you enjoy your corporate mandated Broly film.

Instead, Toriyama caught wind from Toei that Broly was a popular character both overseas and in Japan, prompting him to write Broly into the new film.

Of course, Toei mentioning this fact to Toriyama clearly comes with some ulterior motives on their part. People really take for granted just how obviously painful transforming into a Legendary Super Saiyan is for Broly. Not only does the form effectively relieve Broly of his emotional, mental, and psychological senses, it actually tears his body apart.

The act of buffing up rips the skin off his shoulders in the first film, and the scream that accompanies the shift is clearly more than just for show. Broly is in intense physical pain as his body undergoes an extreme, almost improbable, metamorphosis.
