When is unleavened bread passover

Similar to the Passover, this is a feast of commemoration, causing the Israelites to remember their deliverance from Egypt. They purged leaven from their midst and sacrificed daily to the Lord. The removal of the leaven represented their separation from the Egyptians, the world. Christ fulfilled this feast by bringing us to salvation, cleansing us from sin, and separating us from the world.

Not only do we go through the cleansing of our literal houses of actual leaven yeast products , but we also do a spiritual housecleaning. The principle always is that in going through the physical motions of purging leaven from our houses, the spiritual principle is impressed upon our minds in the doing of it, as YaHuWaH said, "It shall be a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that YaHuWaH's law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand YaHuWaH brought you out of Egypt.

Exodus What we do with our hands and see with our eyes stays with us, we keep it in mind. So keeping this feast is something we do so that it may be kept before our eyes as a reminder, a sign of what it symbolizes.

May we always keep before our eyes, the sacrifice made for us by YaHuWshuwaH so we can be free from sin. Egypt is a symbol of the world ruled by Pharaoh, a type of Satan. With a strong hand He had brought them out of servitude and bondage. That deliverance has been effected for us spiritually and we are to 'eat unleavened bread' as a result of that deliverance.

That is we are to 'eat' the pure Word of God. Paul referred to purging sin from our lives in the context of properly keeping the Feast of Unleavened Bread, saying, "Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. We need to renew our minds from all 'wrong thinking'. This I say therefore, and testify in Elohim YaHuWaH, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles the world walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of Abba, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;" Ephesians , Leaven, strictly speaking, is an influence which can also represent the permeating of the Holy Spirit.

Luke But in this feast it indicates the adulteration of the Word of YaHuWaH, the souring of it from its original state of purity. We must put out of our lives all that corrupts and mars the image of Messiah in us. Note that those who did not keep the feast were separated from His people Ex. Failure to keep the feast in its spiritual application will also result in separation for us and disqualification from the kingdom of YaHuWaH -- 2 Cor.

For the Exodus, they were to be packed, having their loins girded and be ready to leave the dominion of Pharaoh for the promised land. They had the promise of a good land to which they were going for which they had to leave everything of the old behind.

They went on their pilgrim journey with only the Spirit to lead them, living in tents as sojourners until they reached their destination. God made it possible for you to know. Discover God's peace now.

Today's Scripture Hebrews "And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins. Chinonso Grace Pls can someone explain to me why feast og passover is celebrated March instead of April. Passover occurs on the 15th day of the month of Nissan on the Hebrew Calendar. On the Gregorian calendar, this corresponds to either March or April, depending on the year. For example, this year, Passover is in March but next year it will be in April.

Are you able to tell me which that would have been? Having read the article with a heart of inquisotivy, I fail to see how the month nissan has anything to do with a december or a christmas passover seder Apart from a tinge of misconception understanding l enjoyed the read and would welcome in my life the same understanding at easter celebration Cheers Dylinda Philippines.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread starts on the 15th of Nissan and the Passover Lamb is to be slain and then eaten on the 14th of Nissan at twilight. The Passover in Exodus occurred at midnight. The month of Nissan corresponds to the months of March and April.

I am very appreciative of the knowledge of the festivals in the Bible and how it is a great reminder of what Christ has done and will continually do for HIs people. However, it is important to remember this was an outward showing til it was fulfilled in Jesus. We should be more concerned for the sins in our daily lives rather than the crumbs under the refrigerator. When Christ came He fulfilled all by His Blood and the removal of our sins so we do not have to be burdened with the outward ceremonial laws.

It is the examination of our hearts each day and a daily repentance through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. Christ has come and we live in the light of His grace. This is a spiritual kingdom and keeping our eyes on Him and Him alone.

Thank you…. Thank you for your comment. I understand and can appreciate your perspective as it was once mine as well. Where we differ is that many Hebrew Roots Christians apply the other aspects of the Law to their post-salvation Christian walk as well. Jesus warned us in Matthew not to set the commands aside or teach others to do so. Some good places to see this are Psalm , Romans , James and 1 John Thank you for posting this!

This post was so helpful to me!! I love your ways of explaining! I was! And I continue to be. The Lord even put music to one while I was reading! Now I can sing it! The Lord is good! Thank you for your encouraging words, Kelly! I wish you a joyous Passover and Feast as well! Toggle navigation. Passover , Traditions.
