While she is involved in the original, she has a much larger role in the sequel. She has a huge role to play in everything and it is Saw 2 that really allows her character to develop emotionally so audiences can connect. She's the core actor in the film and there's a reason she keeps returning after because audiences really enjoyed her.
Jigsaw, who is later revealed to be John Kramer is the mad genius behind the Saw franchise, and while in later movies he plays a really fun role with the audience knowing it was him, the original benefits from not knowing. The fact it is a total surprise until late on in the film is what makes it so brilliant.
It's a major twist as audiences are made to guess throughout who it could be and why. Not knowing is a big reason for this film having so much suspense and when it all comes together that ends up being scarier than most things. On the counter-argument, while not knowing the identity of Jigsaw makes the original have that fear of the unknown, the fact that the audience is aware of the situation in the sequel leads to some great moments.
When he is being interviewed by the detectives, it really allows him to play some mind games. He is teasing the police force, all while knowing what is going down inside the building with his victims which makes for a great subplot.
It arguably makes him even scarier as a villain, simply because. Because so much of the movie takes place in just one room, with very little going on, the focus of this film really is down to the dialogue. While investigating the Jigsaw case, Michael's father found out about the cartel but was more interested in pursuing the killer than arresting the corrupt cops.
Michael admits that he had stolen his father's files about Jigsaw and published them in a newspaper article to push his career and get revenge on his father for being abandoned by him as a child. This article also gave Henry Jacobs a legitimate reason to discharge Michael's father from the Metropolitan Police Department and prevent him from discovering the drug ring.
While Michael proceeds through the building, he witnesses the deaths of Carla and Sarah, who are killed by Henry and Poltzer to tie up loose ends. Henry, however, is later killed by Pighead. During a final encounter between Michael and Joseph, the latter is killed with his gun. After defeating him, Michael goes on to the last part of his game and finds himself in the same room as Campbell.
Depending on the player's choice, there are two possible outcomes. Path of Blood: If the player saved Campbell, he survives the final test, while Michael is crushed to death by the surrounding walls, which close in on him. Jigsaw then confronts Campbell and says he is now free and can find his son.
Campbell, however, attacks Jigsaw, stating that his son can never live safely in a world with people like him. Jigsaw evades his attack, causing Campbell to be killed by a swinging scythe.
Afterwards, Jigsaw ends his game with the words "Game Over. Path of Flesh: If the player sacrifices Campbell, Michael survives the final test and is taken to another room. A videotape left for him claims that he and Jigsaw are similar as they both desire to bring justice to a world of criminals.
Michael then faces two doors. One leads Michael to freedom and gives him the chance to use the evidence found by his father to print the story of Jigsaw and the drug cartel. The other door reveals a Pighead costume and offers Michael the chance to help other people by using Jigsaw's methods. Saw II is primarily a third-person survival horror game with action elements and retains the same gameplay style as the first game. The player controls Michael Tapp, a reporter who has to survive a deadly game set up by the Jigsaw Killer.
Even though it is one of the less human intense devices in the series, it remains one of the absolute nastiest. A judge, responsible giving a light sentence to a drunk driver who killed a little boy, is chained to the bottom of a tank. Above him is a huge grinder…and a set of rotten pig corpses ready for putrid liquefaction. As the bodies are minced up, the remaining sluice fills the reservoir. In order to save him, our hero has to incinerate all the toys owned by the dead child…HIS dead child.
Again, while not particularly gruesome or gory, this is still one stomach turning torture test. The most ingenious element in any Saw film is also its biggest SPOILER , so unless you are familiar with the film, this entry is perhaps best left until after a viewing or two. With that being said, this is the reason that producers saw potential in the franchise.
After nearly 90 minutes of making us think one thing was happening, director James Wan and his co-writer sidekick Leigh Whannell pulled the rug out from under us, revealing that everything going on in this dingy hellhole was being supervised by… the dead body laying in the middle of the room.

There, he listened to a voice recording of Simone and Eddie's game, but was interrupted when he was called back to the crime scene, which had been found by the police by then. Shortly afterwards, he returned to the crime scene after he was called by his colleagues , who had found the location.
Upon his arrival, a female officer informed him that the FBI was now in charge of the investigation and had asked for Hoffman to come to the crime scene as soon as possible. Erickson told him about the fingerprints and showed them to him with a black light. Furthermore, he informed him that the fingerprints had already been identified as those of Peter Strahm, while voicing his surprise and dismay of this new situation.
After the examination, Eddie's body was taken to the morgue for his autopsy by Dr. Adam Heffner while the scale, the cutting tools and the screw helmets were taken to the evidence room. Saw VI 3D.
