What was wrong with lucy spraggan

Lucy Spraggan has said she was eating calories a day when she started on her weight loss journey. The former X Factor contestant, 29, has recently undergone a dramatic body transformation by losing three-and-a-half stone through a combination of weightlifting and running. After initially struggling to eat enough, Spraggan adapted her diet and later begun training as a personal trainer before launching a fitness brand called Fully Rewired. You can walk in a gym and just feel really overwhelmed and like you are not supposed to be there.

I went through all of that and now I adore most gyms. Her transformation has improved her body confidence, but it has also thrown up unexpected challenges. In December she underwent surgery on her breasts — a mastopexy, which raises them, and augmentation, which enlarges them, to be exact — after losing weight left her unhappy with their appearance. Spraggan has candidly documented the experience on social media. I wanted to be totally transparent that that is what happens — you get loose skin.

As a musicians who earns much of her income through gigging, the pandemic has hit Spraggan hard. It is not just a show that we play… We have stage hands, tour buses, we employ and provide so much for the economy and we have been chucked to the back.

I was depressed but I want other people who feel like that to know you can come out of it. This album is about being defiant, staying above the water and getting back to being happy. Two years later, Lucy decided to take her fate into her own hands, turning down a record deal from Columbia and setting out on her own.

I had a great experience, but I wanted to start my own label and take full control of my career. The BetterMaternityCare campaign are planning to march! It's a remarkable turnaround. She's three stone lighter, super fit and impressively toned thanks to a dedicated fitness regime, and recently celebrated 10 months of sobriety. I'm happy within and without, and that's a really great new feeling for me. The Sheffield-born singer — who wowed X Factor audiences before quitting the show early, citing illness and bereavement — has since carved an impressive career, releasing an album every two years.

All, bar her debut album, have made the top 20 and she's performed twice at Glastonbury. Life away from music has been more challenging though. Although it seemed she'd found personal happiness and stability when she married Georgina Gordon in last year the couple split.

During their six years together, the couple short-term fostered 12 children. She's a great person and made me a much better person, and we've had amazing experiences together — fostering was wonderful. But I started going through a lot of changes and sadly the new me didn't fit the relationship any more.
