The food was eh. I got the chicken vesuvio spelling? I thought it was just okay. My mom got the spaghetti and thought the it was just okay as well. Nothing really special about anything we ate. BUT I will say the ambience and location is amazing. If you like Chicago history, particularly mob history, this place is for you. The Nitti vault down in the bottom of the restaurant is so fun to look at and read all the newspaper articles and look at the pictures.
So maybe go get drinks there and just skip the dinner experience. Our waiter, Carlos, was impeccable and knew his menu well! Building is very inviting, all other staff are very pleasant. Food was well portioned for the price, and cooked to perfection. I will most definitely be seeking this location, and asking for the same waiter, when we are in Chicago again. Wait staff takes time to guide you thru the menu.
All selections are delicious. Celebrates 20 yr anniversary and although we were running late they held our reservation. Our favorite place to go when in town on a quick trip.
Food was wonderful as always. Service was disappointing. No drinks offered after 15 minutes at table. Had to ask for refills. When I stated that we wanted a menu he snapped at me for being rude.
Man from adjacent table reached out and touched the two young girls at our table multiple times poor kids had to move their chairs practically on top of us.
They could not find my reservation. I am not sure what happened I arrived right on time. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Always a great call! All the dishes came out great. Nice historic venue with interesting decor and good service. Sadly, the food was disappointing -my chicken dish was overly salty and partners steak was overdone and not worth the price tag.
Our waiter made this an event for us. One of the best I ever had. My food was superb. The atmosphere was incredible.
I came with a couple of my girl friends and it was one of their birthdays. Let me tell you when I say this place is amazing believe it. From the stunning decor and ambiance of the restaurant to the many celebrity pictures of celebrities who have ate their. We were very impressed as we all are culinary school graduates. Chicken Vesuvio amazing along with the bruschetta. Filet mignon was tender and juicy. The lasagna filling and full of flavor. All were amazing definitely will come Back there if we are ever in town again.
